Health Assessments, Inc.
Hank Braner

Hank graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina Physician Assistant program's first class in 1973. In 1987 after 14 years in Family Practice medicine, he was approached by ROCHE Lab, now Laboratory Corporation, to develop a drug and alcohol program to meet the requirements of the new Federal Motor Carrier drug testing law for Georgia Ports Authority in Savannah, GA.

From there, Health Awareness Enterprises, Inc. was founded in Savannah, GA. A program that included policy statements, employee training, supervisor training and guidelines for drug and alcohol testing began. By 1989, this program became the standard for all drug and alcohol testing being done along the East and Gulf coast ports. The policy continues today. Health Awareness Enterprises was sold in 2003 and at that time it served over 1000 local and national accounts.      .. more ..
